Print Swap is an online platform that allows artists and photographers to exchange physical prints with one another. We take privacy seriously and collect only the information required for the app to function securely, process print orders, and maintain trust between participants.

1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
Name
Email address
Password (stored securely via Firebase Authentication)
1.2 Artwork and Profile Content
When you upload artwork or create a profile, we collect:
Images and associated metadata (title, description, tags)
Profile photo
Country and genre
Link to your website or social media
1.3 Payment Information
All payment details are handled by Stripe.
We never see or store your full card number.
We store:
Your Stripe customer ID
Authorisation and charge status for swap payments
1.4 Print Fulfilment Information
To produce and ship prints through The Print Space (our print partner), we store:
Delivery address
Print size, paper type, borders and other technical details
1.5 Device and Usage Information
We automatically collect:
Device type and operating system
IP address (for security and fraud monitoring)
Basic app activity (e.g., uploads, swap requests)
This helps us maintain the service, detect abuse, and improve performance.
1.6 Push Notification Tokens
If you allow notifications, we store your APNs device token to send:
Swap requests
Swap reminders
System updates (e.g. failed payments)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
Provide the service (user accounts, artwork uploads, swaps)
Process payments through Stripe
Produce and ship prints via The Print Space
Send notifications about swaps and account activity
Maintain platform safety (fraud checks, copyright compliance)
Improve and debug the app
We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.
3. Sharing Your Information
We share information only when necessary to operate the service:
3.1 Stripe
For payment authorisation and charges.
We share: email, name, and transaction details.
3.2 The Print Space
For printing and shipping your artwork.
We share: artwork file, print specifications, your delivery address.
3.3 Firebase / Google Cloud
For authentication, database storage, and hosting.
Some data is stored in Google Cloud regions in the EU or UK (depending on configuration).
3.4 Legal Requirements
We may share data if required by law or to protect users from harm or fraud.
4. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
Access a copy of your information
Correct inaccurate information
Delete your account and associated content
Object to certain uses of your data
Request a copy of your data in a portable format

5. Data Retention

Print orders already processed cannot be reversed.

Secure password storage (Firebase Auth)
Stripe PCI-compliant payment handling
Tokenised push notification system
No system is perfect, but we take care to minimise risk.
7. Children’s Privacy
Print Swap is not intended for children under 16.
We do not knowingly collect information from minors in this age group.
